For Employers

We help businesses to partner with Education.  Can your business provide a meaningful experience or learning opportunity within the local community?

DYW seek to engage Employers from across the Argyll region so that they can work with us, our schools and college to help inspire and shape the region’s future workforce.  If you want to be involved, contact us here or through our social media links on the home page.

Below are some examples of how leading businesses in Argyll and Bute are helping to shape our future workforce:

Working with DYW can help you to discover the benefits of connecting with schools and young people in Argyll.  DYW offer support and guidance to help find a level of engagement that is right for your business.

To be able to succeed in developing Argyll’s future workforce, we need businesses to partner with local schools and college to improve employability skills.  This can be from as little as coming to a school to give a talk, to offering to support a young person on a Foundation Apprenticeship.  Help influence the next generation.

Apprenticeships help employers to develop their workforce by training new staff and upskilling existing employees. For individuals, an Apprenticeship is a job which allows them to earn a wage and gain an industry-recognised qualification at the same time.

Types of Apprenticeships:

Foundation Apprenticeships – Host a pupil weekly to help them gain skills and qualifications.  You are potentially getting at least a year long interview for a future member of your team.

Modern Apprenticeships – Get your employees educated whilst they work for your organisation, attract fresh talent and help form them into your future proof workforce.

Graduate Apprenticeships – Develop your workforce hand in hand with top universities to earn their degrees whilst gaining the experience you need for your organisation to thrive.

All Apprenticeships are fully funded.
